Reinstalling the App

If you previously installed the Case Digestor app and subsequently deleted it from your device, you might notice that the "Install App" banner no longer appears when you visit the website.

Because your device's browser often remembers that you previously installed or dismissed the prompt, you will need to manually trigger the installation again. Follow the instructions below based on your device.

Deterministic Edge Case Troubleshooting​

When you delete the app from your home screen, the operating system removes the shortcut, but the browser (especially Chrome) may still internally register the site as "installed."

If the "Install" button or "Add to Home Screen" option is completely missing:

  1. Avoid In-App Browsers: Ensure you are not opening the link from inside Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, or LinkedIn. You must open your native browser (Safari for iOS, Chrome for Android).
  2. Clear Site Data (Android/Desktop Chrome):
    • The browser thinks the app is still installed.
    • Open Chrome, tap the Three-Dot Menu (â‹®) > Settings > Site Settings > All Sites.
    • Search for casedigestor.app.
    • Tap it and select Clear & reset.
    • Refresh the page; the install prompt or menu option will reappear.

Instructions by Platform​

iOS (iPhone & iPad)​

Note: Safari is strongly recommended for the best app experience on iOS.

  1. Open the Safari browser and navigate to www.casedigestor.app.
  2. Wait for the page to fully load.
  3. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  4. Scroll down the menu and tap Add to Home Screen.
  5. Confirm the app name and tap Add in the top right corner.
  6. The app will now appear on your home screen.

Android (Chrome)​

  1. Open the Google Chrome browser and navigate to www.casedigestor.app.
  2. Wait for the page to fully load.
  3. If a banner pops up at the bottom saying "Install Case Digestor," tap it.
  4. If the banner does NOT appear:
    • Tap the Three-Dot Menu (â‹®) in the top right corner of Chrome.
    • Look for and tap Install app (or Add to Home screen).
  5. Confirm the installation when prompted. The app will be added to your home screen or app drawer.

Desktop (Chrome / Edge)​

  1. Open Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge and navigate to www.casedigestor.app.
  2. Look at the right side of the address bar (where the URL is typed).
  3. Click the Install Icon (it looks like a computer screen with a downward arrow).
  4. Click Install on the popup prompt.
  5. If the icon is missing:
    • Click the Three-Dot Menu (â‹®) (Chrome) or Three-Dot Menu (...) (Edge) in the top right.
    • Select Install Case Digestor (Chrome) or Apps > Install Case Digestor (Edge).
