Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Can I use Case Digestor on my phone and laptop at the same time? A: Yes. Your account is synchronized across all devices. Changes made on your phone will reflect on your laptop once a connection is active.
Q: Is the AI always right? A: The AI is a high-performance assistant, not a replacement for a lawyer. It is highly accurate at summarizing facts and issues, but complex legal reasoning should always be verified against the source text.
Q: What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription? A: You retain access to all previously saved materials and folders. You will simply lose the ability to generate new AI digests until your credit balance is restored or the subscription is renewed.
Q: Can I digest legal pleadings, contracts, or personal notes? A: Currently, the Case Digestor engine is optimized for Philippine Supreme Court decisions. However, we are actively expanding our capabilities. The new Legal Search Assistant is designed to help lawyers navigate broader legal contexts. Future updates will introduce support for analyzing pleadings and drafting assistance, transforming the platform into a comprehensive tool for legal practice.
While our core digestion engine focuses on jurisprudence, we are building towards supporting a wider range of legal documents to serve practicing lawyers. Stay tuned for updates on pleading integration.
Credits & Plan Usage
Q: What are credits?
A: Credits are usage units consumed by AI-powered or premium actions, such as generating Mock Bar questions, case digests, AI chat messages, PDF exports, accuracy verifications, search, flashcard flips, and other enabled tools. The exact cost of each action depends on your active plan configuration, and the live app values control actual deductions. Check the in-app /credits guide for a detailed calculator and plan examples.
Q: Does full access mean unlimited credits? A: No. Case Digestor distinguishes between access, credits, and quotas. Access means which tools your plan can open. Credits measure usage capacity. Quotas or rate limits control how frequently some actions may be used in a time window. “Full access” or “unlimited access” refers to feature availability, not infinite credit consumption or unlimited AI generations. Monthly plans may reset or replenish usage allocations by billing cycle according to the active plan configuration.
Q: Why did an action fail if I still have credits? A: Actions may be governed by both credits and quotas (or rate limits). While you may have credits remaining, you may have reached the maximum allowed rate for a specific tool (such as AI chat message limits per hour) in a time window. Once the rate limit resets, you can resume utilizing your remaining credits.
Q: Where can I check my live credit balance? A: Your live, up-to-date credit balance is always visible on your Profile dashboard card, as well as on the Get Credits page.
Q: Where can I compare how far a plan will go?
A: Open the in-app /credits guide. It includes an interactive calculator showing exact credit consumption math, simple formulas, and estimated credit runways based on typical usage patterns.
